Frequently Asked Questions

Are you seeing clients in person?

I have availability for both in person and online sessions. I do prefer hosting clients in my office, but have had many great counseling relationships that were online only! At intake, I ask all clients to sign a form enabling us to use technology when necessary, so we can seamlessly transition online when needed.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance directly and am considered an out-of-network provider. As a self-pay only therapist, I am able to focus my time on client care and not on the demands of insurance companies. Many clients appreciate this freedom of not having a mental health diagnosis on their permanent medical record. Depending on your benefits, you may be able to seek reimbursement for my services. I will provide you a superbill upon request.

How do I pay for services?

I accept credit and debit cards, including Health Savings (HSA) and Flex Spending (FSA) accounts. Some churches will help with the cost of counseling if you are a member.

How much is this going to cost?

My rate is $110 per session for all sessions. Sessions are 50 minutes and we typically meet once a week for at least the first month. In these first few sessions, we will develop a treatment plan that will take into account your needs and goals and decide together how long counseling will be needed. Additionally, according to the new No Surprises Act, you will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate to help you anticipate expenses and prepare financially.
